Zac Brown is no stranger to trying out different styles of music. In addition to the country hits the Zac Brown Band have released, “Heavy Is The Hand” was a single the band did with Chris Cornell and was was favored by rock stations instead of country (Our sister station Q105.1 played it, for example). The Country single from ZBB “All Alright” was a result of “The Grohl Sessions” with Foo Fighters lead singer Dave Grohl.
Sir Rosevelt is simply another step for Zac Brown as he explores different musical styles. Mixes of pop, dance and acoustics are big with this new project built on Zac Brown’s foundations and background as a award winning Country artist.
“Sir Rosevelt is a new chapter in addition to Zac Brown Band,” Brown said in a statement. “A new outlet for creativity, connection and art. Get ready. Brown further explained, “To me, that’s what makes a real artist — it’s natural to want to create music that’s similar to what we like to listen to. [Sir Rosevelt] has become the outlet we have for everything outside of the homegrown roots of ZBB. I have no plan to abandon everything that we’ve ever done, but there are literally millions of different sounds out there, it’s like different colors to paint with.”
