So what do you do when you love to garden, but don't really have the place to build an actual garden? You try things like Topsy Turvey planters. We live in a townhome and don't have much space in our yard (if you can call it that), so we usually just plant a few favorite greens in pots. This year we added tomatoes and decided to give the Topsy Turvey a whirl. Suprisingly - we're getting pretty decent results so far.
Here's our set-up. Make sure to get a VERY sturdy shepards hook if you go this route. After the 1st one we tried literally bent in half we had to go looking for a stronger option (and we lost a few plants in the fall).

Once the blossoms started coming in I started to get hopefull we may actually get tomatoes.

We also had a few visitors of the bug variety. Currently using an organic spray to keep them at bay.

But LOOK - tomatoes!! I can't believe these things actually work. Keep checking back for updates.
