DIY Craft Desk

With LOTS of Storage

DIY Craft Desk

Another project crossed off the list!  And this one feels really good.  I've been working on setting up my studio/arts & crafts room for over a year now.  I get little bits and pieces here and there, but this weekend I finished up a BIG one.  My craft desk is now a reality!!  (And my dining room table is back to being a table to dine on - LOL)

Lots and lots of storage and lots of counter space and room to move.  I'm in love!  I've been spying other versions of this on Pinterest for weeks.  There's DIY craft desks of all shapes, sizes and materials.  Some require tricky assembly, this one does not (unless you find stacking tricky).

Here's what I used and roughly what it cost:

1 Hampton Bay 6ft. Tempo Laminate Countertop in Tumbled Roca - $34.00 at Home Depot

2 ClosetMaid Cubeicals 6 Cube Organizer - $44.49 each at Target (but they were on sale Sunday - and still might be - at the local Target for just $24!!  SCORE!)

Then, you just build your cubeicals and set the laminated countertop on top.  BOOM - craft desk.

If you're worried about stability, I'm sure you could drill a screw or two into this thing or use a clamp of some sort, but I like the fact that I can disassemble and move it if needs be.
