I have to admit… this is the first time I’ve had a hard time putting a project down in a long time.  I even found myself getting up extra early this morning so I could work on it again!  I just can’t wait to see the finished product.

Last night and this morning I continued the edges of my frame using Mod Podge to adhere a strip of magazine then a strip of the sheet music.  (If you’re lost, check out my first blog HERE).

I was feeling brave and decided to give one of the corners a go.  They’re always the hardest, which is why I leave them for last.  Truly it just takes a lot of guessing and trimming until you get the strips for the edge to sit just right.

I cut the corner strips at a diagonal so they would line up just right along that natural seam where the wood comes together at the corners of the frame (on the face/front).  Tonight, I’ll take more pictures of the steps I take while finishing the corners off.

What does the back look like?

As you can see, I left the strips of magazine and sheet music long enough to wrap around to the back of the frame (about ½ inch from the edge).  Since I will be displaying my frame in a way that the back will be showing, later I plan to cover it up with a piece of black posterboard.  If you plan to hang yours on a wall – no worries about what the back looks like!

So, get out your Mod Podge and get to gettin’ goopy!
