Over 80 are dead with dozens still missing in Texas, where record flooding has ravaged communities in Kerr County, just to the West of Austin, where more than a foot of rain fell in less than 12 hours on July 3. The flood waters around the Guadalupe River rose 26 feet just before daybreak on July 4, washing away homes, businesses, and cars.

The Kerr County Flood Relief Fund
Set up through the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, This fund will direct donations to vetted organizations providing rescue, relief, and recovery efforts as well as flood assistance. The Fund will support the communities of Hunt, Ingram, Kerrville, Center Point, and Comfort. It is in support of nonprofit organizations, first responder agencies, and local governments actively involved in response, relief, and recovery efforts.
TEXSAR: Texas Search and Rescue
The Austin-based nonprofit specializing in emergency response has deployed swiftwater rescue teams, boats, drones and search dogs to aid in the search for the missing. The group is aiming to raise $100,000 to sustain its efforts.
The American Red Cross is accepting online donations. You can also donate by texting REDCROSS to 90999, and a $10 donation will be added to your phone bill through your carrier.
The not-for-profit pet shelter in Austin said it has saved more than 150 pets from flooded areas. The organization has coordinated search and rescue groups working along riverbanks to find animals and is taking donations for pet supplies.
The Spirit of Giving fund, organized by Texas grocery chain H-E-B, assists with recovery efforts, providing aid such as home replacement and rebuilding projects, financial support, food contributions, and relief. H-E-B has already dispatched their Disaster Relief Convoy to the area, and is setting up a mobile kitchen to provide meals.
Operation BBQ Relief is cooking up hot meals for first responders and displaced residents in Texas. Donations will help fund more food for victims. According to the organization, a $25 donation provides four meals.
The Salvation Army Kroc Center Kerrville
The Salvation Army has deployed supplies, volunteers, and mobile kitchens to the area, and are in great need of donations for more supplies including non-perishable food, hygiene products, bleach, brooms, shovels, trash bags, diapers, baby wipes, and socks.
